Is TinkerMill open?
Yes! TinkerMill is open to the public whenever members are on-site.
Is TinkerMill accepting new members?
Yes! TinkerMill is always accepting new members. To join, please follow the instructions at https://www.tinkermill.org/membership.
Is TinkerMill still holding classes?
Yes! To keep everyone safe, we have modified many of our classes to be held electronically or with smaller class sizes where possible. Due to instructor or space limitations, a very small number of our classes have been temporarily suspended during the COVID-19 outbreak. All of our classes are posted on our Meetup calendar as far in advance as possible, so please keep an eye out for your favorite classes.
Is TinkerMill still holding New Member Orientation sessions?
Yes! We're currently delivering all New Member Orientation sessions electronically. RSVPs on Meetup are still required after you've submitted your membership agreement and first dues payment.
Is TinkerMill still giving tours?
We've temporarily paused our in-person group tours. There is, however, a full tour of TinkerMill on our main page and on YouTube. Click Here to watch it. TinkerMill is still open to the public whenever a member is on site, so feel free to come on down and have a look around after signing a waiver. We're currently exploring ways to provide tours of the space electronically.

We have set temporary occupancy limitations for each shop area to help maintain a six-foot separation between all members, staff, instructors, and visitors. Calendars have been created for all shops allowing folks to reserve time to work in the shops. Reservations are not required, but do take precedence over walk-ins. - Stay at home as much as possible
- At-risk individuals should continue to stay at home unless absolutely necessary.
- No gatherings of more than ten (or whatever the current guidelines call for) people permitted
At TinkerMill, everyone is expected to:
- Not visit TinkerMill if you or someone in your household has symptoms
- Wear a fabric face covering at all times
- Maintain a six-foot separation from others at all times
- Assist with frequent sanitization of all high-touch areas (work surfaces, tools, buttons, door handles, light switches, etc.)
- Help ensure that members and visitors are following the temporary maximum occupancies of each shop.
